RESPONSABILITIES
-Maintains open communication lines with Center Manager, Clinical Director, center staff, attending clinicians and physicians, patients and families.
-Liaisons with community agencies, vendors, and payors of health services.
-Evaluate nursing needs of patient and provide nursing services
-Initiate and implement nursing case conferences.
-Maintain accurate and concise written clinical records on each patient.
-Act as a liaison between patient and physician when necessary. Collaborate with other health team personnel regarding patient's condition and progress
-Offer insight to the family on how to be emotionally supportive to the patient.
-Provide counseling to the patient on a one-to-one basis
-Assist patient with verbalizing feelings and deal with them in an effective manner.
-Assist patient in seeking realistic alternatives available.
-Evaluates the impact of therapeutic interventions upon the therapeutic milieu
-Demonstrates knowledge of program policies and procedures
-Maintains compliance with established nursing care standard
-Supervises and instructs patients in medication administration.
-Continues with educational courses and in-services training, per policies and procedures
-Maintains CPR certification.
-Demonstrates knowledge of medication actions, side effects, and contraindications.
-Participates in Performance Improvement monitoring and evaluating activities.
-Performs other capacities as needed with scope of practice.
-Resident of Doral, Miami
-Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, either a twoyear Associate Program, Three Year Diploma Program or fouryear baccalaureate program.
-At least one year of experience as a staff nurse in an accredited hospital. Must have documented practical experience in a psychiatric nursing or further education beyond basic psychology or Master’s degree in psychiatric nursing or mental health with clinical practice in mental health and psychiatric nursing.
-FPMHNP, APRN-BC certificate
-Fully bilingual - oral and written
-Ability to work as a team member and have management, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under stressful conditions and be flexible in relation to department needs.
-Knowledge of Medicare Guidelines. Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards. Demonstrates Proficiency in Verbal & Written Communication Skills. Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality Laws. Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies. Knowledge of Workplace Violence. Knowledge of Corporate Integrity & Compliance Program. Knowledge of current utilized technology.
