Founded in 1989 by Dr. Alberto Varela Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst and Company Administrator, INSPIRA is a private company that offers mental health services in Puerto Rico. Thanks to the support of multiple organizations, friends and colleagues, we have experienced great growth, and have been categorized as one of the main mental health centers in the Island.
Throughout the years, we have had the privilege to witness the emotional recovery of thousands of people who have honored us with their trust in our services and team. This has allowed us to help them reach a better quality of life and an optimal state of health and well-being.
We introduced an array of innovative programs within the mental health industry, such as the well renowned
Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and were honored
by becoming the first independent mental health institution to be accredited by the Joint Commission
in Puerto Rico. Currently, we have 12 clinics located across the Island, including one in Culebra an island-municipality in Puerto Rico, and an multidisciplinary group of health and mental health professionals consisting of Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Professional Counselors, Social Workers, Therapists, Primary Physicians / Generalists and Administrators. Each with specialized knowledge and expertise in areas of significance for the healthcare industry.
